Matthew Stegall
Third Generation Owner/Licensed Funeral Director
Third-generation owner of Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. Mr. Stegall grew up in funeral service and has a lifetime commitment to the profession. He has 30 years of experience as a licensed funeral director. He is a graduate of Indiana University and Mid America College of Mortuary Science. He is very involved in the community, serving on many boards and volunteering for several organizations. Mr. Stegall has been a leader in historic preservation and neighborhood conservation. He has incorporated the development tools of preservation into the business plan of the funeral home. Mr. Stegall restored a historic house, once condemned by the city, for his family's home. His restoration led the way for the redevelopment of the neighborhood where the funeral home is located. Mr. Stegall's wife is Jennie, and their three children are Hannah, Samuel, and Seth. The Stegalls are members of the Richmond Catholic Community, worshiping at St. Mary's Church, and the children attended Seton Catholic Schools.

Trent a lifelong resident of Richmond. He is a graduate of Ivy Tech Community College in East Chicago with a degree in Mortuary Science. He is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, and a Certified Pre-Planning Consultant. Trent and his wife Lauren have one son Charles.

Ashley is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer with 20 years of experience. She was in the first graduating class of Mortuary Science at Ivy Tech Indianapolis Campus in 2007. Ashley proudly grew up in Carthage, IN, and is a Knightstown High School graduate. In the summer of 2016, she became a Certified Indiana Medicolegal Death Investigator, previously serving the Henry, Marion, and Hancock County Coroner's Offices. She enjoys time with her sister Amy, also a funeral director, her 4 nieces, and 1 nephew. She loves gardening, planting flowers, antiques, and her 9-year-old Bloodhound, August.

Ashley is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer with 20 years of experience. She was in the first graduating class of Mortuary Science at Ivy Tech Indianapolis Campus in 2007. George and his wife Barbara (Snook) are members of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and serve multiple roles within their diocese. George got his start in funeral service as a funeral director with Klute-Beech-Henry Funeral Home in Richmond, before moving to Logansport to work for Fisher Funeral Home. George retired from the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin where he worked in Fraternal Relations. George served as former secretary of Web Lodge #24 F&AM. He and his wife can be seen at almost all Richmond High School basketball games and most football games.

Rev. Holman was the former Pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church; after his retirement, Marty joined the staff of Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home and has spearheaded our community outreach program.
