William Lee "Bill" Davis, age 76, of Richmond died suddenly at his home on Monday, December 16, 2024. He was born October 10, 1948, in Richmond to Donald Davis and Virginia Wingerter Clark and lived here all his life.

Bill was a Deputy in the Wayne County Sheriff's Department, formerly worked at the Richmond Street Department, and as the Plant Superintendent at Imperial Products, and worked for the Recycling Center. He was a member of the Elizabeth Anne Seton Parish.  He enjoyed family time, fishing, trapping, hunting, and sports.

Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years Phyllis, three children Gina Davis-Cole (Rich Fredrickson), Kristina Davis-Burton (Danny Tracy Jr.), and Andrew (Kaylyn) Mundt-Davis, four grandchildren Logan (Alisha) Blue, Kiersten (Jarod) Houser, Zach Burton, and Kaelee Burton, six great-grandchildren, two sisters Carolyn (Wayne) Smith and Cathy (Randy) Boyatt, nieces and nephews, and his dog Sophie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather William L. Clark, one sister June Davis-Lawler, and one brother Jerry Clark.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 23, 2024, at Holy Family Church with Rev. Sengole Ganaraj officiating. Bill will be buried in a private committal at St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home.
