Vivian
Williams
Jul 9, 1928 — May 19, 2026
Richmond
Vivian Williams, age 97, peacefully went home to meet her Heavenly Father on May 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. A faithful servant of the Lord, she was a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life reflected grace, compassion, and a deep commitment to serving others.
Vivian lived each day rooted in her unwavering faith. She often said that when her feet hit the floor each morning, her hands went up in gratitude to thank Jesus for another day. It was this humble heart and gentle spirit that made her so special and brought comfort and joy to so many. Her home was always open—a place of warmth, welcome, and beautifully set tables where she made sure everyone was fed, cared for, and left with their cup filled and their spirit uplifted.
She was born on July 9, 1928, to Harry and Marie Cameron. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William David Smith; and their son, Timothy Mark. In her golden years, she was blessed to find companionship and love again with Raymond Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Leroy (Dan) of Greenfield, Indiana; and her sons, Richard McVey (Missy) of Cincinnati, Ohio; David Smith (Rebecca) of Flint, Michigan; Stephen Smith of Hamilton, Ohio; and Richard Neil Smith (Barb) of Richmond, Indiana. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Sharon Turner (Vernon) of Hamilton, Ohio.
Vivian's legacy continues through her twelve grandchildren, along with many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who were blessed to love her and be loved by her. She also leaves behind her faithful companion, her cherished little Yorkie, Cody.
The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Paradigm Hospice of Indianapolis, especially Robin and Tina, for their compassionate care and support.
In honor of Vivian's life and the kindness she showed to others, the family asks that you perform an intentional act of kindness: call someone you love, send a card in the mail, share a meal with a neighbor, offer a ride to someone in need, donate to a charity, or simply do something thoughtful for another – acts that were a natural part of Vivian's everyday life.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday May 26, 2026 at Stone Valley Church with Rev. Anthony White officiating and burial following in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday May 26th at the church. Online condolences may be shared with Vivian's family via the guest book at stegallberheidereorr.com.
