Tyla Dee Watson, 54, joined her younger brother, Brandon, and her  mother, Lois, in Heaven on October 23, 2024.

Tyla had a servant's heart and thrived most when she was helping others. In life, all Tyla wanted to be was a mother. She successfully raised four children on her own. She also had an impact on over a dozen children during her time as a foster parent. In the final nine years of her life, Tyla loved being a "Mimi" to her seven grandchildren.

She is survived by her father, Charlie Watson, her four children, Charlie (Katie) Watson, Danny VanWinkle, Shayla (Ben) Autry; and Shyana Watson, her seven grandchildren Mark Watson, Kennedy Watson, Caroline Watson, Daniel VanWinkle, Brooklyn Watson, Charlie Autry, and Maria VanWinkle, her two sisters, Tonda (Everett) Watson McClellan, and Shanda (Jim) Driller. She is preceded in death by her brother Charles Brandon Watson and her mother Lois Watson.

A service to celebrate Tyla's life will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, beginning with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with the service immediately following at First Baptist Church, 1601 South A Street, Richmond, IN 47374. Jim Driller and Rev. Phillip Hodgkin will officiate. Burial will follow at Earlham Cemetery. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
