It is with heavy hearts we announce that Tonna Sue Lear (Walls) age 72 was called to be at peace at the Lord's side on September 27, 2024, in Richmond Indiana. She peacefully passed away surrounded by family. She was born October 6, 1951, at Reid Memorial in Richmond Indiana. Tonna is survived by three children, Daughter-Jennifer Longnecker, Son-Jamie Barnes (Kristi), and Step-Son- Willie Lear; Six grandchildren, Taylor Barnes, Jessica Landaw, Ella Longnecker, Kendall Longnecker, Cianna Barnes, and James "McCoy" Barnes; two great-grandchildren, Tanner Nash and Xavier and her sweet pup Toby. She is preceded in death by her husband Dan Lear and her parents Roland and Pat Walls.

Tonna was a Christian. She was active in her church, Lifespring North. She loved her Small group, Grief Share, Emmaus Community, Card Club, Playing piano, Coloring, Swimming group, Traveling, Camping, Friends and Family, but most of all being Nana. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1969. She obtained her nursing degrees from IVY Tech, New York State University, and Indiana Wesleyan University. She retired from Reid Health as a proud Registered Nurse in 2014.

Tonna will always be remembered by her family and friends for her sweet smile and kind personality. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 11 am to 2 pm with a funeral service following. Services will be held at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, 222 N 10th St, Richmond, IN 47374.  Tonna will be laid to rest at Earlham Cemetery.
