Steven Anthony Sullivan, 68, of New Paris, OH, passed away peacefully on April 14th after a brief illness, at Everhart Hospice located in Wayne Hospital in Greenville, OH.

Steve, lovingly known as "Sid," grew up in Richmond, IN, and graduated from Richmond High School with the Class of 1974.

He was a hard-working man who began working at a young age and built many lifelong friendships throughout his career, particularly in the aggregate industry as a heavy equipment operator. Those who knew Steve appreciated his passion and no-nonsense approach to life. He was especially proud of his time spent in Abington, Indiana, at Stonehenge Gravel, where he felt a deep connection to its development and success.

In his younger years, Steve hitchhiked to California and traveled extensively through the western states. He loved good rock and roll music and took great pride in the many concerts he attended—especially those of the Rolling Stones.

Steve loved his family and his small farm. The outdoors was his sanctuary. He cherished his dogs and enjoyed raising farm animals. A Budweiser and a steak from his grill on a summer evening is a fond memory shared by his family and many who knew and loved him.

Steve was married for 45 years to the love of his life, Judy (Hankinson) Sullivan. They moved to the New Paris community in 1983 and purchased their family farm in 1987. Together, they raised two sons: Stuart Larkin Sullivan (Kacey) and Matthew Steven Sullivan (Rachel). Steve was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Korbin, Camilla, Larkin, Audree, and Alden Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Hedrick, and his brother, Paul Sullivan, both of Richmond, IN.

Survivors include his brothers Pat (Dee) Sullivan of Atlanta, GA, and Harry Browning of Sarasota, FL.
