Steven R. Shaffer passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. He was born February 28th, 1953, in Richmond, Indiana to Acie William Shaffer and Doris Glenna Young Alexander. Steve was a 1971 graduate of Centerville High School. He also attended Ivy Tech and was trained as a machinist.

Steve was musically inclined and enjoyed playing his electric guitars. Back in the day, he was quite the "muscle car" enthusiast. Loved his hot rods and had many in his life. One of his most recent hobbies was building ship models.

Survivors include siblings Sherri Shaffer (Rick), Julie Shaffer-Smith (Bill), Jackie Retter (Randy), and Scott (Kelly)Shaffer. Steve has numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece and nephew Jon and Jenni. He is preceded in death by, his parents, siblings, Billy Shaffer, and Terri Davis. The family would like to thank Lisa Jelly-May and the nursing staff in the Wellness Center at the Leland Legacy.

Funeral services will be at noon, on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Stegall-Berheide-Ore Funeral Home. Friends and family may call from 11:00 A. M. to noon.
