Steven D. Rankin, age 61, passed away peacefully on February 23rd, 2021, in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico. He was born on October 2nd, 1959 in Greenfield, Indiana to Thomas and Gladys Rankin. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1977. Upon graduation, he spent many years in Pensacola, Florida, which was still one of his favorite places up until his passing. Upon his return to Richmond in 1989, he worked as a Sales Consultant for the local company Porter Advertising, LLC.  Steve loved being in sales.

It was hard not to smile while Steven was around, as he had an outgoing and genuine personality. He is preceded in death by his brother Michael Rankin and sister-in-law Debbie Rankin-Isley. He is survived by his life partner, Elizabeth Rankin, his three children, Nicholas (Brandy), Tessa (Dennis), and Jacob, two grandchildren Seraphim and Austin his sister Jennifer (Mark) Martin, and their son Kyle, and his parents Thomas and Gladys Rankin.

Steven's celebration of life, service will be held at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home in Richmond, Indiana at 4:00 P.M. May 7 ^th , 2021, followed by Fellowship from 4:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Help the Animals 2101 West Main Street Richmond, Indiana 47374.
