Steven Joseph Holthouse passed away peacefully, with his son Scott and his brother Jerry by his side, on March 11, 2022, at the age of 71 in Richmond, IN.  He was born to S.L. "Bud" and Marilyn Holthouse on May 11, 1950.  In his earlier years, he worked for the family business, Holthouse Furniture, as a store manager in Richmond, IN, and Greenville, OH.  He was also a 4 ^th generation family member at the family store.  Following an explosion in the downtown Richmond store, Steve rescued several Holthouse Furniture customers by assisting them out of the burning building.  Following the sale of the family business, Steve spent the remainder of his professional career as a Real Estate Agent for Lingle Real Estate.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mark Holthouse.  He is survived by his son Scott (Bobbi) Holthouse of Westfield, IN and daughter Amy (Brian) Lamar of Pensacola, FL, brothers Dan (Deb) Holthouse of Lake Placid, FL, and Jerry (Caryl) Holthouse of Murfreesboro, TN,  grandchildren Tom, John and Kate, and great-granddaughter Harmony.   Steve enjoyed swinging a golf club, strumming a banjo, performing at the Richmond Civic Theatre, and volunteering in the local community.  He was loved by his family and many friends.
