Stella Rush, age 90, peacefully passed away on April 3, 2024. She was born on September 17, 1933, in Abington, Indiana, born to Shelby and Leona McFarland. Stella resided in Richmond until 2020 and moved to New Palestine, Indiana, where she lived with her oldest son, Ward, and his wife, Vicki. Stella found solace and community at Lifespring Church North. She is lovingly remembered by her three children: Ward Rush, Jr. (Vicki), Jeff Rush (Kelly), and Patty Berian (Christian).

Stella leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren: Clint Rush (Amber), Kurtis Rush (Sarah), Karlee Sapp (Brad), Corey Rush (Britney), Joshua Rush, Courtney Rush, Chase Fagin (Sarah), Chelsea Fagin, Austin Berian, and Kristen Berian Smith (Jordan), Dylan Berian, and two bonus granddaughters, Rebecca Lafuze and Jennifer Evans, along with seventeen cherished great-grandchildren.

She held a special bond with her sister, Shirley Robinson, and is also survived by sisters-in-law Pauline McFarland and Janice Sears. Stella is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Ward Rush Sr., her parents, Shelby and Leona McFarland, and her brothers, Rev. Everette McFarland, Gordon McFarland, and Donald McFarland. She is also mourned by nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Services to honor Stella's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 12th, at Stegall-Berhide-Orr. Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Crownhill Cemetery in Centerville, Indiana.
