Sarah Tillery 85 of Richmond passed away on February 13, 2023, at Reid Health. She was born August 9, 1937, in Manchester, Kentucky to Robert and Lily Smith Hibbard and lived in this area most of her life.

Sarah was a "Stay at Home Nana" who enjoyed bird watching, tending to her cats, watching soap operas, going to the movies and to the casino; but above all else she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her six children Warden (Lujuana Austin) May of Indianapolis, Wilma (Johnny) Fletcher of Alexander, Arkansas, Ricky (Carol) May of Chesapeake, Virginia, Gary May of Indianapolis, Gladys Eversole of Richmond, Tina (Everett) Koch of Richmond, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, including Easton and Bryson who she lived with and helped raise; one brother George Hibbard of Indianapolis, one Sister Mae Miller of Alexander, Arkansas, several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren Tony Parsons and Brittney Barnette; six brothers and sisters.

Services will be 1:30 PM Saturday February 18, 2023 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Holman officiating; burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
