Ruby Rae McGee 88 of Richmond passed away on October 21, 2023, at Rosebud Village, she was born July 21, 1935, in Richmond to Willard and Nellie Personette Sturgis and lived in this area all of her life.

She worked for Decca Records and retired from Belden.

Ruby enjoyed bingo, social groups, music, and dancing at Rosebud Village; she told the nurses that the most important job that she ever had was being a wife and a mother.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Dennis Herron, one granddaughter Deana (Roger) Howard, several great-grandchildren, two brothers Paul Sturgis, and Donnie Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents,  her husband Robert McGee, three children Greg McGee, Linda Herron, and David Chamberlin, one brother Eddie, and three sisters Viola, Faye, and Frances.

Her best advice was to enjoy life
