Obituary

Roy Patton Jr., during the Lord's Prayer, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family September 24, 2025. He was born on June 14, 1943, in East Bernstadt, Kentucky, to Roy and Geneva Grubb Patton Sr., and spent most of his life here.

Roy Jr. served in the Army Reserves.

He worked at Wallace Metal, D&M Manufacturing, and retired from Kemper Cabinets.

Roy Jr. loved spending time with his family; he enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, bowling, watching sports, painting cars, tinkering in his garage, and telling his truths.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Diana Patton, one daughter Missy (Mike) King, and one son Greg (Robyn) Patton all of Richmond; two granddaughters Skyler King, Andrea (Shaun) Lane, his pride and joys were his great grandchildren Jayde, Jaxon, Sofia, Conar, Everly, Kamila, and Cali; two brothers Harold "Eddie" (Marilyn) Patton of Richmond, Marshall "Pete" Patton of Connersville, one aunt Aleta Collier, a special cousin Randy Coldiron and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Loretta Patton, and his sister-in-law, Peggy Patton.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, with Pastor Albert Reffitt officiating; burial will follow in Lutherania Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
