Rosella Bernice Owens, 66 of Richmond, passed away January 3, 2026, at Reid Health. She was born on March 27, 1959, in Richmond to Andrew and Bernice Owens King; she lived in Muncie until she graduated. At that time, she moved back to Richmond, where she lived most of her life.

She retired from Belden and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Rosella was a strong lady, a loving mother and sister, with a beautiful personality, and she loved to sing. She had a genuine love that came from the Lord – she was a true gift from God.

She is survived by her daughter, Anjoli Owens, two sisters, Denise Wright, Patricia King, one brother, Andrew King Jr., her close cousin's Lynette Russell, Merley McMurry, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and her fur babies.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one niece Angelina King, and her aunt Flemella Bentley.
