Ronald C. Gary passed away on July 3rd, 2026, at his home. Ron was born to Woodrow and Thelma Gary in New Madison, Ohio on September 12, 1938. He moved to Richmond, Indiana after graduating high school. On May 22, 1971, he married Debbie Minner. They were married 49 years. Ron was a loan officer at First National Bank/Bank One for many years before his retirement. After retirement, he worked as a real estate broker with Robinson Realty. Ron and Debbie had a trapping supply business. They loved talking about their trapping convention adventures and the people they would meet. After finally retiring Ron enjoyed spending time with his wife, Debbie, his children, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. After Debbie passed, Ron started going to the Richmond Senior Center and enjoyed talking to Becky, the director and other senior friends he made there. He really enjoyed participating in the Tai Chi class. Ron was a member of the St. Andrews Parish.
Ron will be greatly missed by his son, Ronnie (Aleatha) Gary and his daughter, Lisa Costlow. His grandchildren, Gary (Katie) Nelson, Leah (Justin) Suhre, Hunter Gary and Ahtaela Snell. His great grandchildren, Mason Nelson, Ava Nelson, Holden Nelson, Clayton Suhre, Jensyn Suhre and Dawson Suhre. His sister, Cheryl Hunt and brother, Ben (Joan) Gary.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Gary, his parents, Woodrow and Thelma Gary, his brother, Fred Gary, his sister-in-law, Sandy Gary, his brother-in-law, Joe Hunt and son-in-law Judson Costlow.
On July 8th from 4 to 7 there will be a visitation time at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home.
On July 9th there will be a visitation time and prayer at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 before proceeding to St. Andrews Catholic Church for the funeral mass at 11 am. Following the mass at around 12:15 a procession will travel to the Green Mound Cemetery in New Madison, Ohio for burial.
