Obituary

Ronald K. Allee, 80, of Richmond, IN, passed.   on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023 at Friends Fellowship Care Facility in Richmond.  He fought a courageous sixteen-year battle with cancer.  Ron was born in Martinsville, IN on July 12, 1943, to the late Keith and Margaret Allee.  He was a 1961 graduate of Martinsville High School.  On January 22, 1977, he married his love, Katherine Cassel Allee.

Ron was a District Manager for Franklin Life Insurance Company and later opened his own business Allee Insurance and Investment Brokers.  He loved following his Son, Regan in baseball throughout his high school and college life.

In Ron's retirement years, he participated in many Bass Fishing Tournaments.  The highlight of his fishing was when he participated in the Bassmaster Open on the James River in Virginia. His fishing partner was Woo Daves who had won the 2000 Bassmaster Classic. Ron made his appearance on ESPN in that tournament.  Ron's other hobbies included driving his Porsche sports car.  He was a member of Porsche Club of America and participated in many of their events including racing his Porsche on the Indianapolis Speedway road course two years in a row.  He was a graduate of Porsche Sports Driving School in Birmingham Alabama.  Another hobby was hunting morel mushrooms in the spring.

Ron was a member of Centerville Christian Church and was in the International Bible Study Fellowship for twelve years.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Kathie Allee, daughter, Kim Strang (David) of Carmel, son Regan Allee of Indianapolis, two grandchildren, Jonathan Strang of Mead CO, and Felicia Walsh (Rich) of Sheridan, and two great-grandsons, Holden and Porter Walsh, who he truly adored.  He has one brother Larry Allee.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 4:00 P.M. at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Sewell officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
