Rodney E. Gray, age 61, of Richmond, passed away on January 21, 2026, at Reid Health following a long illness. He was born on April 20, 1964, in Richmond to Charles R. Sr. and Kathryn Perry Gray, and was a lifelong resident of the community.

Rodney worked in workshop programs with Green Acres, Achieva Resources, Benchmark Services, and Abilities Richmond. He enjoyed bowling in the Special Olympics and had a passion for making his own jewelry.

He is survived by his three brothers, Chuck (Donna) Gray of Richmond, Michael (Carol) Lathrop of Fort Myers, and Dick (Debbie) Lathrop of Brookville; one sister, Tammy (Stacy) Brewer of Richmond; several nieces and nephews; his special friend, Mary; and the many people who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one niece, and one nephew.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, with Pastor Kyle Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Earlham Cemetery.
