Obituary

Robert L. "Bud" King passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the age of 92. He was born in Carthage to Fred and Rachel King on June 20, 1932. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was primarily stationed in Germany.

He enjoyed flying and at one time owned an airplane with four friends. His family had and enjoyed a houseboat on Brookville Reservoir during the 1980s. Bud managed and owned four restaurants between 1959 and 2004. The best and longest owned was Bud King's Taste of the Town for 30 years

He is survived by his wife Pamela, two sons Gregory and Corwin King, five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one son Christopher, his parents, and his sister Juanita.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Cliff Nunn and Robert Meckley officiating. The burial for Bud will be at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the church. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Service is handling arrangement.
