Ricky L. Garner, 68 of Richmond, passed away peacefully in his home, January 2, 2026, after a long illness. He was born on October 30, 1957, in Richmond to Otis and Mattie Moore Garner and lived here all of his life.

He worked for Jerry's Restaurant and was known for his infectious smile; he was full of life, loved Jesus, and was a devoted member of Full Gospel Chapel.

He is survived by his mother, one sister, Carolyn (William) Clark, two brothers, Danny Garner, Steve (Peggy) Garner, his niece Teresa (Darin) Thompson, nephew Dewayne (Tori) Steel, several great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday January 8, 2026 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Cox officiating; burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
