Quintona "Tonie" Susan Mays went to be with the Lord on Sunday October 19th 2025. She passed away peacefully in her home which was her favorite place to be. Toni was born on August 22nd 1947 in Richmond Indiana to James Jackson and Margaret Ricks Jackson. She lived in Richmond all her life.

She was a graduate of Richmond High School. On February 28th 1968 she married her one true love, Earl Mays of Berea Kentucky. They made a beautiful life and family together. Toni was a homemaker, mother, and volunteered as a Chaplain's aide at Reid hospital for over 15 years. Her family meant everything to her. After her father passed away in 1987 she was a devoted and loving caregiver to her mother until she passed in 1992.

Toni enjoyed watching cooking shows, Andy Griffith and eating chocolate ice cream. She looked forward to her Sunday afternoon phone calls to her best friend of more than 50 years, Esther Mack. They would "gab" for hours. One of her favorite memories was the vacation she spent in Myrtle Beach with Earl and the girls. She loved the sound of the waves and the sand dollars.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Earl, daughters Rachel (Sean) Shelton, Rebekah (Justin) Miller, her sister Virginia Hapner (Wilbur Clark), brother Jerry Jackson, sister Melanie Jackson, her grandchildren Kyera Shelton, Kelsey (Aaron Reagan), Leah Miller, Avah Miller. Great grandchildren Colter Shelton, Revna Johnson, and Aaron Reagan jr. Also close cousins Julia (Steve) Russell and Bill (Janet) Jackson, and many nieces and nephews. Private services will be held by the family.
