Peggy Ann Lear 81, was called home on September 16th in Cincinnati, Ohio after a long  39-year on and off battle with cancer.

She was born on September 24, 1942, the oldest child born to Paul and Ruth Croft of Wyoming, Ohio. She graduated from Wyoming High School in 1962.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved boating, skiing, sewing/crafting, traveling the world and collectibles. She was a member of the West Richmond Friends Meeting. She worked at Friends United Meeting from 1972-1998.  In addition, she was involved in mission work with the Associated Committee of Friends on Indian Affairs. Peggy also was an advocate for breast cancer awareness and helped others through cancer support groups.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Ronald Lear Sr; Son, Ronald Lear Jr; brother, Norman Croft; and sister, Paula Croft and her parents, Ruth and Paul Croft.

Peggy will be remembered by her son Tobin Lear (Julie); Nieces; Angela Miller and Allie Hansen (Geoffrey);  Nephew; Mickey Miller (Stephanie); Grandchildren Crystal Hicks (Josh), Tiffany Lear, Ronald Lear lll, & Ayden Lear; Great Grandchildren Camille & Trystin Franklin, Melody & Rythm Matthew's, Oliver Hicks; and an abundance of friends who were like family. The Lear family would like to thank the Terrell family and Billie Tyler for helping Peggy throughout her battle with cancer.

Peggy's celebration of life will be held on November 17th at 3pm at the West Richmond Friends Meeting House, 609 W Main St, Richmond, IN 47374, US.  In lieu of flowers the family is asking for contributions to the West Richmond Friends Meeting or to the American Cancer Foundation.
