Paul Sparks, 75, of Richmond, IN passed away on December 22, 2023, at his residency. He was born on November 27th, 1948, in Lee County, Kentucky to Charles E. and Elsie Reece Sparks; Paul lived in this area most of his life.

Paul was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army 101st Airborne Division and also received a Purple Heart.

He is survived by his mother Elsie Reece Sparks, and two children Paul (Jody) Sparks, and Scott Allen Sparks both of Richmond. Six grandchildren, Shannon (Kolby) Moores, Shawna (Zac) Pruitt, Summer Sparks, Koesha Sparks, Crystal Sparks, and Skyler McGowen. Four great-grandchildren, Mason Moores, Taytum Moores, Kori Pruitt, and Knox Pruitt. Four Sisters, Carolyn (Fred) Himes of Kentucky, Faye Young of Richmond, Terry (Ron) Roberts of Richmond, and Charlotte (Raul) Davolos of Batesville, several nieces, and nephews, as well as many lifelong friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Sparks, and three brothers Ken, Gene, and Sidney Sparks.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Military Rites by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
