Paul Lee Sparks "Jody", age 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Reid Health in Richmond, IN. He was born on January 9, 1967, in Richmond, Indiana to Paul Sparks and Nancy Cooper. Paul lived in many different states throughout his life, including Riverside, California; Hinsdale, Illinois; Brookville, Pennsylvania; Ashtabula, Ohio; Longwood, Florida; Tyler, Texas; French Lick, Indiana; and Richmond, Indiana.

Paul worked at Perseponko Painting as a professional painter. He graduated from Richmond High School in Richmond, IN. In his free time, he was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Cooper; his grandmother, Elsie Reece Sparks; two children, Koesha Lee Sparks and Crystal Marie Sparks, both of Richmond, IN; one brother, Scott Allen Sparks of Centerville, IN; three sisters, Latonia "Toni" Cooper-Wampler (Shawn) of Richmond, IN; Dawn Hanson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Deanna Statz of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as many other lifelong friends.

"Jody" Sparks is preceded in death by his father, Paul Sparks; his grandfather, Charles E. Sparks; his grandmother, Mable M. Horr; and his grandfather, Elmer D. Horr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, located in Richmond, IN, will be handling the arrangements.
