Olga M. Clarkson, age 89, of Richmond, Indiana, died on
Friday, December 26, 2026. Born March 20, 1936, in Brookville, Indiana, to Victor and Julia Smith. She graduated from Brookville High School in 1954 and moved to Liberty, Indiana. She later moved to Richmond in 1965.

She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where she also volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club when they were at Central United Methodist. She had a lifelong love of dogs and butterflies were one of her great pleasures.

Survivors include  - Julia Magnan, daughter, Richmond IN; Alan Weber, son, Anderson, IN; James (Maggie) Clarkson M.D., Pascagoula, MS; Deborah (Charles) Cromis, Hardinsville, KY; Christy Reagen, Centerville, IN;   Siblings - Violet Thompson, Richmond; Richard (Betty) Smith, Ladson, SC; Roy (Deb) Smith, LaBelle, FL, Robert (Fran) Smith, Richmond; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, C.G. Clarkson, M.D.; her son, John B. Clarkson, M.D.; her parents; three sisters; and four brothers.

Visitation for Olga Clarkson will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2026, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, 222 N. 10th St., Richmond. The funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, with Ransom Ebersole officiating. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Union County Foundation, Inc., C.G. Clarkson, M.D. Medical Scholarship Fund, 404 Eaton St., Liberty, IN  47353.
