Norma Jean Whitaker 68 of Richmond passed away January 23, 2021 at Reid Health after a long illness. She was born October 9, 1952 in Bath, Indiana to Victor Charles and Florence Smith Stenger and lived in this area all of her life.

She worked as a waitress.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years Christopher Leroy Whitaker, two sons Jesse (Lyndia) Whitaker, Shane (Beverly) Whitaker of New Paris, five grandchildren Michael, Anthony, Devon, Dylon, Chloe , two great-grandchildren Paislee, Jaxson, two sisters and one brother; Mildred "Millie" Coyle, Ernest Stenger, Vickie Burton, several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Emma Stenger.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday January 29, 2021 at Elkhorn Cemetery, friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. Visitation will be limited to 25 people, at a time, in accordance with county restrictions for COVID-19 and all visitors are required to wear masks.
