Michael David Burdette 54, of Richmond, passed away December 22, 2020. He was born March 5, 1966, in Richmond to Danny G. and Judith Ann Pippin Burdette Starkey and lived here all of his life.

He was a longtime employee of Discount Muffler and Tire.

Michael was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who was most at home on the lake or in the woods with his best friend and partner in crime, Axle. He was an amazing mechanic and could fix anything with a motor. He was loved by his family and will be deeply missed.

Michael is survived by his mother Judith (Charlie Shaw) Starkey, his wife of 14 years Debbie Burdette, four children Ashley Armstrong, Anthony Aaron Armstrong, Tyler Childers, Brittney Childers, eight grandchildren Caden, Aubrey, Peyton, Hailey, Brooke, Anthony, Kaelynn, Kameryn Grace, one brother Jason (Angela) Burdette, one sister Tenna Lear, nieces, nephews, and his best friend Axle.

He is preceded in death by his father and his daughter Heather Armstrong.
