Michael Edward
Adams
Jan 20, 1966 — Apr 5, 2026
Michael Edward Adams, 60, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep.
Mike was born on January 20, 1966, in Richmond, Indiana, where he was raised and spent his life. He was the son of Robert and Louise Adams, who preceded him in death.
He was married to his wife, Shannon Adams, for 40 years, building a life centered around family, hard work, and shared memories.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Vanessa (Paul) Summitt and Tracey (Justin) Jordan. He was a proud grandfather to Michael Hunter, Mallory Summitt, Ella Summitt, Jayse Jordan, Ayden Jordan, and Logan Jordan, who brought him some of his greatest joy.
He is also survived by his siblings, Wanda (Jim) Eversole, Carl (Teresea) Adams, David (Diana) Adams, Robert (Sandy) Adams, and Tina (Rohndell) Smith. He was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Adams.
Mike worked as a general contractor and successfully ran his own business for over 25 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, often working weekends and rarely taking time off. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family.
Outside of work, Mike had a passion for cars. One of his proudest accomplishments was purchasing his dream car and participating in car shows. He was also a member of the Whitewater Valley Corvette Club.
More than anything, Mike was proud of his family. He took great pride in raising two daughters who worked hard in school, attended college, and built successful careers. His pride only grew when he became a grandfather, a role he cherished deeply.
Mike will be remembered for his goofy personality, kind heart, and joyful, charismatic presence. He loved making people laugh and made sure everyone was having a good time at family gatherings. He was always there to listen when you needed him—especially if you were on his good side, his left ear—and he never missed a moment to share a laugh.
Family was always the most important part of Mike's life, and his love and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
