Melvina "Kay" (Hill) Humphrey, age 75, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on December 12, 2025, in Conroe, Texas.
Kay was born on July 27, 1950, in Richmond, Indiana, to Melvin Morris Hill and Emily Beatrice Evans. She spent her early years in Richmond, Indiana, and Beaumont, Texas, before moving to Houston, Texas in the early 1970s, where she built a life rooted in family, friendships, and independence.
Kay attended Richmond High School while still living in Indiana. Once in Texas she worked as a bus driver and later as an Accounts Receivable Manager with ABC Supply, where she spent 15 years and was respected for her reliability and commitment.
In May of 1997, Kay married Francis Humphrey, with whom she shared a deep bond and many meaningful years together.
Kay was known for her adventurous spirit and love of the open road. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, was a proud member of the San Jacinto High Rollers Bay Area Chapter and the RATS Motorcycle Club. She found joy in gardening and caring for her plants. Kay was an avid bowler for years and had an average of about 175 at it's highest. She passed on those adventurous spirits to her children. Above all, she loved her family deeply, and her greatest happiness came from time spent with those she loved.
She is survived by her loving children; Brian and Suzy, Jason and Rachel, Tracy and Chad, and Jason H.; and her adoring grandchildren; CJ, Jason Jr., Dakota, Madison, Katrina, Tylon, Gabrielle, Francis, and Alessandra. She is also survived by her stepbrother, James Thorman, and his wife Julie, as well as her close cousins Maria "Reecie" Williams, Margo Fox, and Pat Moore.
Kay was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Francis Humphrey; her cherished parents, Melvin and Emily Hill; her loving stepmother, Betty Jeanne Hill; and her stepbrother, Terry Thorman.
