Mary Ann Wenzel, 80, of Falmouth, Kentucky, passed away May 13, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. She was born November 17, 1944, in Richmond, Indiana, to Nuncio and Josephine Cringoli Nufrio; she moved to Falmouth in 1990 when she married her second husband, Donald, and lived with him on the 164-year-old Wenzel Family Farm.

She worked as a Financial Advisor and school bus monitor and was also a Lexington Humane Society member.

Mary Ann was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton St. Mary's Parish.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years Donald Wenzel, two step daughters Darla Marie (Jon) Tonkin, Donna Michelle (Kevin) Hodge both of Shallotte, NC., eight grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; one sister Francis Bryne of Massachusetts, one niece Nancy Baker, two cousins Dan Nufrio, Mary L. Henson, two aunts Francis Marie Cobb, Gloria Denzler, and her best friend Elaine Norton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Marvin Pickett, one niece, Paula Eckler, and one cousin, Ron Nufrio.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at St. Mary's Cemetery with Rev. Sengole Gnanaraj officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Tuesday at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home.
