Mary Elizabeth Parker 86 of Richmond passed away September 19, 2023 at Friends Fellowship Community. She was born October 2, 1936 in Richmond to William Jesse and Bernadette "Becky" Marie Wisebrod Parker and lived here all of her life.

She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish; she attended both St. Andrew's and St. Mary's Church where she was a member of the Sweet Adeline Choir Group.

Mary worked at AVCO, the Wayne County Government Administration office, and retired from the County Clerk's office.

She was a lifetime member of Delta Theta Tau, a lifetime member of the Red Hat Society, the Whitewater Ramblers Hiking Group, and a former member of the Gray Ladies Volunteer Group at Reid Health; she will always be remembered lovingly as the "Richmond Walker".

Mary is survived by several nieces and nephews; including a special nephew Jeff Parker who drove from Troy, Ohio every other week to run errands, and make sure that she wanted for nothing. She also leaves behind close friends Carrol Thompson, Nancy Sharp, Jane Ann Brinley, Pat Waak, Joan Martin, Becky Morris, and Deloris Hawkins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers James Lewis, and Joseph William Parker.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM September 29, 2023, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Deacon Jim Miller officiating.
