Marie Gobble, 93 of Richmond, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare. She was born January 1, 1933, in Kingsport, Tennessee, to Essie and Elizabeth Hunter Bishop and lived here most of her life.

She was a member of the Oak Park Pentecostals.

Marie formerly worked at STACO, Richmond Community Schools, and retired from Marvel Industries.

She was a kind, loving, and caring mother and grandmother; she was very involved in all of her church group and loved serving the LORD.

Marie is survived by two daughters, Charlene (Douglas) Boggs of Spring, Texas, Rosella Morgan of Carmel, one son, Michael Gobble of Richmond, two granddaughters, Kristie Boggs and Taylor Morgan; seven brothers and sisters, Joan Johnson, Donnie Bishop, Barbara Ramey, Loretta Hurt, Dennis Bishop, Steve Bishop, Kathy Brookover, several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Perry "Bud" Gobble, who died in 1990, and three brothers, Edward, Harold, and Hal.

Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Arthur officiating; burial will be in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.stegallberheideorr.com
