Marcia L. Cox 72 of Richmond passed away June 24, 2023, at Reid Health. She was born on April 8, 1951, to Dewey and Myrtle L. Gibson Cox.

She worked at Hills Roses and Impact of Indiana in the Annex Building for a short time but embraced her role as a homemaker.

She loved to spend time with family and friends; family picnics, cookouts, fishing, cooking no-bake cookies for her kids and loved driving her Oldsmobile.

She was an RHS graduate class of 1970.

Marcia leaves behind a special man of 35 years who she loved very much Vernon Chestnut of Richmond, two daughters Christina Cox of Richmond, Tracy (James) Mann of Richmond, two stepchildren, her adopted daughter Tracy Aniaz of Russell Springs, Kentucky, two granddaughters Maria L. (Bobby) Light, Trina L. (Daniel) Winters, two grandsons Dalton Mann, John Mann, four great-grandchildren Isabella, Matt, Logan, Leztat; one brother Roger (Genny) Cox, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Marty Druie Cox, several aunts, uncles, cousins, two nephews Barry Cox and Travis Cox, and special friends Lisa Robbins, and Charlotte Grimes.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling the arrangements
