Marcella Lynn
Green Davis Stikeleather
Jul 10, 1928 — Sep 20, 2023
Marcella Lynn Green Davis Stikeleather 95 of Richmond passed away September 20, 2023, at Reid Health after a short illness. She was born July 10, 1928, in Camden, Ohio to Arthur A. and Lillie Belle Weatherly Green; she was raised in New Paris and lived in this area most of her life.
Marcella worked for a short time as a nurse's aide at Reid Hospital.
Marcella was One Special Lady who embraced her primary role as a homemaker; she loved all of her children but had a special love for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Marcella was lovingly referred to as the Mayor, and President at the different places she lived.
Marcie or Betty as she was sometimes called, loved to play bingo, doing word searches, crafting, and jewelry making; she also enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, and trips to the Amish store. She didn't have a lot growing up so we made sure she had everything that she needed, even a trip in a hot air balloon.
Marcella is survived by her eight children Darlene Erisman of Eaton, Lillie (Glenn) Lutz of Eaton, Kathi Weddle of Richmond, Steve (Jane) Hickey of Richmond, Paul (Pat) Lamott of Pershing, Janie (Paul) Greene of Richmond, Marie (Kevin) Tilton of Richmond, Marilyn (Frank Gray) Stikeleather of Winchester, twenty grandchildren Lillie, Becky, Sarah, Jenny, Karen, Kevin, Joseph, Jason, Joshua, Carla, Bethany, Kristy, Shelly, Elissa, Logan, Travis, Shawn, Billy, Danny, and Becca; forty-two great-grandchildren, twenty-two great-great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to especially thank Forest Park Health for all of their care and support.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred A. Stikeleather who died in 1975, one son Fred L. Stikeleather, five brothers David, Alvin, Robert, Marcellus, and Oscar, two sisters Gladys, and Flora Bell; one daughter in law Reba Stikeleather, two sons in law Phil Erisman, Jerry Weddle, four grandsons Lloyd, David, Max, Ricky, two granddaughters Nicole, Sandy, one great-granddaughter Sylina Mason.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, September 25, 2023, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Smith officiating; burial will be at Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.
