Leslie J. Ramsey, affectionately known as “Zu” and “Les” passed away, at home surrounded by her family, Friday, September 25, 2026. She was born on January 5, 1949, to Bernard and Barbara (Horton) Griffin.

Leslie lived in Richmond her whole life. She was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School. Class of ’67. Leslie was the former Office Manager for Dr. Morris Snyder and Dr. Pankaj Kumar. Currently, she works in the Accounting Office at Earlham College.

While cruising with her girlfriends at the westside Frisch’s, Leslie met the love of her life, Floyd. They married on May 18, 1968. Leslie was a big Bob Dylan and Four Seasons fan. She loved Saturday night get-togethers with family and friends, with a lot of food, laughter, and music. She enjoyed hearing Christine and Floyd singing and Floyd and Charles playing their guitars.

Leslie is survived by her husband, Floyd; son, Charles (Julie) Ramsey of Richmond and daughter, Christine Ramsey of Brooklyn, NY. Sisters, Libby (Bob) Medley, Richmond, Carole (Gary) Roberts, South Bend, WA, Barbara (George) Eastman, Richmond, Joan Tinsley, Richmond; brothers, John Griffin, Cambridge City, IN and Gary Griffin, Richmond, nieces and nephews.

Leslie is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bill Griffin and sister-in-law, Linda Griffin.

Leslie’s wishes were there not to be any formal funeral.

“Think of me when you hear one of my favorite songs or something that sparks a memory.”
