Kevin S. Detharidge 63 of Williamsburg passed away October 13, 2024 at Reid Health. He was born January 24, 1961 in Richmond to Steve and Sarah Conroy Detharidge and lived in Richmond all of his life.

He worked for 22 years as a box grinder at Milso/Mathews Casket Factory and retired from Astral Casket Factory.

Kevin also known as Dr. "Deth" loved to play basketball, playing in several rec. leagues and in Gus Macker tournaments with his team "Salt and Pepper".

Kevin loved nothing more than being a Grandpa and spoiling and spending time with his grandbabies. They were his world and they loved him so much. Josten Hannah was his "baby doll" and Easton Jack was his "little buddy".

He is survived by his mother,  love of his life Tammy Detharidge whom he married July 14, 1979, his son Joshua (Kristen) Detharidge of Richmond, two very special grandchildren Josten Hannah and Easton Jack Detharidge, his "bonus" son Paul McDaniel, two sisters Martina Clark, Yvette Detharidge, and one niece and three nephews.

Kevin is preceded in death by his Father, Grandparents, and Mother and Father-n-law.

Services will be 1:00 PM Monday October 21, 2024 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home; burial will be in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Dinner to follow at the Family Center behind the First Church of the Nazarene in Richmond. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home.
