Joyce Ann Vanhoose, 69, of Richmond, passed away August 1, 2026; she was born on December 26, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, to Herman H. and Florence L. Elliot Ennis. 

 She worked at CINRAM until they closed in 2009; she then worked as an attendant at the Milk House and as a cashier at local gas stations. 

 Joyce was a passionately hard-headed woman who loved Elvis and spending time with her kids and grandkids, making sure that they all knew how to play Rummy and Yatzee. 

 She is survived by her three daughters, Krystal (Destry Glover) Ennis, Kelly Vanhoose, and Melissa (Clayton McCowan) Vanhoose, all of Richmond; five grandchildren, AJ Toney, Makayla Toney, Slater Mills, Holdyn Mills, Adalia McCowan; three great-grandchildren, Zariyah Toney, Madilynn Toney, Blakely Toney; and several nieces and nephews. 

 Services will be at 12:00 PM Friday, August 7, 2026, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home; burial will be in the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.stegallberheideorr.com
