Jon Ammann Ford entered into eternal rest with the Father on February 21, 2024. He was surrounded by his family, whom he loved unconditionally. He was born in Syracuse, New York to the late John Ammann and Marie Robinson Ford on July 7, 1936.

He spent his formative years on a farm in Holton, Indiana. He graduated from Holton High School in 1954 and attended Hanover College, graduating in 1958 with a degree in Business Administration. While at Hanover he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and he adhered
to their principles and made lifelong friends. In 1958 he started his 40-year career with Ralston Purina, moving to several company facilities
around the nation and coming to Richmond in 1980. He retired in 1998, serving the last three years as International Sales Manager for specialty diets.

He loved the community of Richmond and volunteered in many organizations. He cherished the 39 years he spent on the Board of Directors for Reid Health and 25 years as Board Chairman. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Judith Miller Ford, and five children: Mark Ford(Karen) of Orangeburg, SC, Michael Ford of Souderton, PA, Lynda Montague(Stuart) of Whitefish, MT, Susan Hoffer, of Richmond, IN, and Matthew Koch-Ford (Paula) of Columbia Falls, MT.

They are blessed with 12 grandchildren: Benjamin Ford(Kaitlin), Katherine Potts(Trevor), Caroline Campsen (George), Jack Ford Jacob Ford, Rebekah Ford, Emma Ford, Nicole Whalen (Ian) Jakin Hoffer, Boaz Hoffer Ammann Koch-Ford, and Jon Paul Koch-Ford He has four great-grandchildren - Vivian, Theodore, Tate, and Banks.  He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Valerie Ford (wife of Michael) Jon is also survived by his sister Jenine Plump (Bobby ) of Indianapolis, IN

Jon will be laid to rest in Elkhorn Cemetery in a private family service. There will be a Celebration of Life service at Reid Health in the Lingle Auditorium on March 30, 2024, at 11 am.
