John E. Ferriell 98 of Richmond died June 6, 2023 at Arbor Trace after a brief illness. He was born October 13, 1924 in Louisville, Kentucky and lived here most of his life. He was a farmer and retired from Alcoa. He was a member of the Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish attending church at Holy Family.

Survivors include his two sons George (Tina) Ferriell, and Richard (Diane Sharpe) Ferriell of Richmond, one daughter-in-law Deborah Hanson, his grandchildren Jennifer (Chad) Robertson, George (Megan) Ferriell Jr., Kendrick (Erika) Ferriell, Nicholas Ferriell, Renee (Luke Hanna) Ferriell, Miranda Ferriell, and Drew (Samantha) Simmermeyer, great grandchildren Logan, Bryce, Caleb, Gavin, Adrienne, Corbin, Anna Lynn, Kayson, and Cooper.

John's wife Anna died May 20, 2016, he is also preceded in death by one son John Ferriell Jr., one sister, and two brothers.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Friday June 9,2023 at Holy Family Church with Rev. Sengole Gnanaraj officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery. There will be no public calling. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions my be given to Centerville Schools Dollars for Scholars or the school's athletic department 115 West South Street Centerville, Indiana 47330.
