Jimmie L. Bumbalough Sr., 81, born in Sparta Tennessee to Willie Herbert Bumbalough and Lela Mae (Demps) Bumbalough on May 16th, 1942, passed away peacefully on January 25th, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Lynette (Fourman) Bumbalough, his son, Jimmie L. Bumbalough Jr, and his wife, Jane E. (Lahmann) Bumbalough, his daughter, Sherri Lynn (Bumbalough) Oler and her husband, Ron M. Oler, grandchildren, William and Loren Bumbalough, Mathew and Yukari Bumbalough, Seth and Ashley Bumbalough, Elizabeth (Bumbalough) and Matthew Bixler, Sarah Bumbalough, Heather Bumbalough, Rebekah (Bumbalough) and Walter Barraza, Melanie Bumbalough, Hope Bumbalough, and Joshua Bumbalough. Great grandchildren, Collin, Clare, Bridget, Alexander, Markus, Katelyn, Liliana, Violet, Kaleigh, Keira, Emma, Harmony, Sawyer, and Lucille, countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and sister, Anna Joyce Anderson, and his lifelong friend, Max Marty.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Wilma Jean Dingle, Nelda Kolentus, Brenda Rogers, his brother Michael Bumbalough, great-grandson Benjamin Bumbalough, and Heather Bumbalough's life-partner, Samuel Harris.

Jim was a believer in his Lord, Jesus Christ, and like him was a lifelong carpenter who loved to build anything he could get his hands on, held a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and several other martial arts, picked at his guitar, blew on the harmonica, played cards, met with his cronies to play golf, and spoiled his kids and grandkids with tall tales and good-natured teasing and too much candy. His best buddy was his 145 lb. Rottweiler Bear who he loved to give snacks and take him on pulls around the block. He was always driving a truck somewhere, usually to meet up with his buddies or go to the lumber yard. He especially loved to eat candy and his wife's cooking. He will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 29, 2024, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Mathews officiating and burial in Earlham Cemetery.
