Robert Gerald "Jerry" Feller was the beloved son and oldest child of Robert J. and Marjorie (Lang) Feller. He was raised in Brookville, Indiana and lived his entire adult life in Richmond, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Karen (nee Fidler) and her children, Philip Godsey and Lecia Novack; his daughter, Tonya (Feller) House; his sister, June Dittlinger; his seven grandchildren, Alex, Anna, and Sophia House, Ashley and Will Feller, and Alyssa and Alexis Godsey; and numerous sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Shirley (Fliehman), and his son, Tony.

After his family, his Catholic education was perhaps the most influential part of his life, starting at St. Michael's in Brookville, and continuing at St. Meinrad Seminary, Marian College, and Notre Dame University. He received degrees in mathematics and education at Marian College and Miami University. He began teaching high school mathematics at Brookville High School, then taught both math and computer science at Richmond High School, retiring after 35 years. He continued teaching high school math at Talawanda High School in Oxford, Ohio, then finished his career at Seton Catholic High School in Richmond. He also taught math as an adjunct professor at both Indiana University East and Miami University.

He was athletic with a particular affinity for racquetball, pickleball, and golf and played with a competitive spirit he passed down to his children and grandchildren. He loved being active and it brought him immense pleasure in his spare time tending to the home and land he shared with his wife, Karen, in the country, with its creek and woods.

He loved travelling with Karen, especially if it involved visiting family and friends or riding a motorcycle. They made many beautiful memories with their adventures throughout the US and Europe.

But music was his most loved activity. He was a gifted musician with a beautiful voice and used music as his ministry. He delighted and moved many not only with his talent but with the thoughtful song choices he made to fit the occasion be it at a family event, the classroom, or mass. His voice, whether teaching a lesson, singing a song, or laughing at a joke he or someone else had made, will be missed most of all.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 2, 2025, at St. Mary' Catholic Church with Rev. Sengole Gnanaraj officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, August 1, 2025, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home.
