Obituary

Jacqueline ("Jackie") Yvonne Wiwi, age 98, passed away on April 30, 2023, at Friends Fellowship Community. Jackie was born November 29, 1924, in Straughn, IN, the daughter of Essie & Cecil Pickett.

After graduating from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City, she married Vincent Miller of Connersville. They had 7 children together, prior to his death in 1961. Her oldest daughter, Suzette, also preceded her in death. Jackie is survived by her children, Patricia (Michael) Benson, Kathy O'Toole, Rodney (Anita) Miller, Timothy (Christine) Miller, Joseph Miller, Marintha (Wally Garfield) Miller, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, & 1 great-great-grandchild.

Following Vincent's death, Jackie worked at Earlham College, retiring there as an assistant librarian at Lilly Library. After retirement, Jackie then married Ralph Wiwi, who also preceded her in death. Jackie volunteered with Reid Hospice & continued to volunteer with Holy Family Catholic Church & Saint Andrew's Catholic Church. She also spent many hours volunteering & sharing her love of books at Centerville Library, where she had the immense pleasure of working with Beth Treaster, whom she lovingly referred to as her "other daughter". The family thanks Beth for the invaluable loving care & friendship that she provided for Jackie.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Sengole Gnanaraj. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
