J acqueline Meadows, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Richmond, Indiana, on September 10, 2025.

Born in Kentucky in 1937, Jacqueline moved to Indiana at the age of 19, where she built a life rooted in dedication, resilience, and love. She enjoyed a long and successful career in banking, retiring from First Richmond Bank after many years of service. She was also a member of the Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. Throughout her retirement, she traveled the country with friends and doted on her loved ones with unwavering support and gentle guidance.

Jacqueline was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Amelia Poffenbarger; granddaughters Amanda and Allison Poffenbarger; and three great-grandsons, Jackson and Mason Wall, and Ark Scruggs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Lucille Meadows; her son, Bradley Poffenbarger (1987); and her daughter, Sarah Weiss (2018).

Jacqueline will be remembered for her quiet strength, her kindness, and the grace with which she lived her life. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 16th at Stegall Berheide Orr, located at 222 N 10th Street, Richmond, IN. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, with the funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Earlham Cemetery.
