Iesha Elaine Caplinger, age 49 of Richmond, died Saturday, February 28, 2026, at I.U. Health in Indianapolis. She was born January 10, 1977, in Richmond to Michael Caplinger and Amy Ladd Chaple and lived here all her life. She worked as a dialysis technician and administrative assistant at Davita Dialysis Center in Richmond, where her patients and co-workers became her second family.

She leaves behind her two children, Riley Johnson and Breahna Johnson, her mother Amy Chaple, her aunts Judy Ladd, Peggy Ladd, and Janet Abner. also aunts and cousins on her stepfather's side of the family. She has many cousins, Susan (Abner) Mikesell, Teresa (Abner) Bell, Kim (Landis), Lisa Brattain (Landis), Josh Combs, Rich Landis, her step-brother Richard Mellen, and more nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Michael Caplinger, her step-father Charles Chaple, her sister-in-law Kerry Mellen, her grandpas and grandmas on both sides of her family, her uncle Robert Abner, her uncle Willis Moore, and her nephew TT Stanley

Funeral services will be on Saturday March 7, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Abner officiating.
