Reverend Hisel Carpenter 83, of Richmond, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 11, 2022. He was born November 3, 1938, in Jackson County, Kentucky to Tommy and Mary Bell Lakes Carpenter and lived here most of his life.

He dedicated his life to ministry alongside his devoted wife of 66 years, Geraldine. He was the President of the Barbourville Children's Home; he worked at American Water Works and founded the Trinity Pentecostal Church of Richmond in 1989.

He is survived by his wife Geraldine; three brothers Sid, Marvin, and Willie, one sister Vadis, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Dennis Carpenter, and one sister Agnes Turner.

Funeral services will 11:00 AM Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Straightline Pike Pentecostal Church with Pastor John Shepherd and Pastor Jeff Hensley officiating; burial will be in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the church. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
