Henrietta Hankosky passed away on Christmas evening at the Richland Bean Blossom Nursing home in Ellettsville Indiana. She was born on October 1, 1929, in New Kensington Pennsylvania to Henry and Nancy Ann Tilmans, both preceded her in death. She was married to Alder Hankosky of Richmond Indiana on June 12, 1954, and they lived in Cambridge City Indiana until his death in 1990.
She had two siblings, a sister Nancy Tilmans who died in 1993, and a brother Henry Tilmans who is married to Audrey and presently lives in Richmond, Indiana. She has three surviving children, Karen Holz of Bloomfield Indiana, Kevin Hankosky, and his wife Lisa of Bloomington Indiana, and Kurt Hankosky of Lafayette Indiana. She has four grandchildren, Michelle Holz, Alex Shiu, David Shiu, and Jade Shiu.
She graduated from Arnold High School in New Kensington Pennsylvania and attended Indiana Business College in Richmond. She worked at Patti Insurance Agency in Richmond Indiana for several years as an Insurance Agent.
She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Richmond Indiana. She was a member of Psi Iota Sorority of Cambridge City. She enjoyed being involved in several groups within the church, attending ceramics classes, was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed watching sports including the Cincinnati Reds and Indiana Pacers, She enjoyed seeing her husband coach little league baseball in Cambridge City as well as watching her sons play. She loved her pets, especially her cats, and being around her children's dogs.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Henrietta's name to Help the Animals of Richmond Indiana 2101 West Main Street Richmond, Indiana 47374. Private family graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Earlham Cemetery. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
