Grover David Sparks age 71 of Richmond died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 19, 2023. at McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford, Ohio. He was born June 24, 1952, in Vonore, Tennessee to Fred and Elsie Duncan Sparks and lived in Oklahoma until moving to Richmond in 2018. He worked as a hairstylist and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife of 5 years Diana, his children Tom (Stephanie) Sparks, Tim (Karen) Sparks, Rebecca (Daniel) Gonzales, Jill Ooman, and Kathryn Hodges, his step-children Heather Moore, Joshua Hensley, Chrissy Hensley, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother Tom Sparks, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Stanley L. Sparks, and two sisters Bobbie Green and Louise Cooper.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev Chris Monaghan officiating. The burial for Grover will be in Goshen Cemetery.
