Goldena
Graf
Mar 16, 1934 — Jul 9, 2022
Goldena Graf of Richmond, Indiana left this earth for her heavenly home on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Goldena was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on March 16, 1934, to the late Ralph and Lura Dee Coon. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Art Graf, and her son Doug Graf. Also preceding her death were siblings Jacob Coon of CA, Marion Coon of TX, Ralph (Abie) Coon of TX, Frances Espich of OK, Betty Reed of WA, and Darlene Armbruster of OH.
She is survived by her loving daughter Kim Weimer and her husband Michael Weimer, her faithful and loving son Greg and his wife Betty Graf, her grandchildren Derick Graf, Benjamin Graf, Sean Weimer, Michael Martinelli, Christine Martinelli, Alesha Crowder, Scott Roberts, Darlene Thomas along with thirteen great-grandchildren.
Goldena worked in many places throughout her lifetime including Centerville Junior High School and Earlham College. For the last twenty years of her career, she worked as a home health care aid. The daughter of one of her clients said this about her: "We were so blessed to have Goldena care for my father for eight years. She was much more than a caregiver, she became a part of our family, a special friend, and such a blessing."
Goldena lived for many years at the Interfaith Apartments where she served as a secretary to the council and the coordinator for the weekly church services held at Interfaith. Goldena used to bake special sugar-free treats for all the residents and was a friend to many. Her presence will surely be missed.
Goldena's favorite city was San Francisco, she absolutely loved going to see the ocean. She used to go out dancing with her friends on the weekends. She loved playing card games with her family and friends. Most of all she loved God with all her heart and served Him faithfully her entire life.
