Glenwood King
Glenwood King 84 of Lynn died at home surrounded by his family on March 22, 2024. He was born July 26, 1939, in Williamsburg to Robert and Louise Evans King and lived in the Richmond area all his life. He retired from J. M. Hutton Company a veteran of the Army National Guard and Reserve.
Glenwood enjoyed spending time with his family. He played golf with his buddies in the "Over the Hill Gang." He was a member of the Rose City Horseshoe League. He traveled to all 50 United States and attended Williamsburg School.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Virginia, three children David King, Jeff (Gena) King, and Vikki (Charles) Jordan, seven grandchildren Maria (Nick) Dixon, Sierra King, Ryan King, Brenna (Iman) Babazadeh, Tiffany (Essence) Black, Heather King, and Amber (Damon) Douglas, eleven great-grandchildren, one sister Darlene Matile, nieces and nephews and cousins, and friends Darrell and Madelyn Day, David and Chris Johnson, and Pete and Annabelle Haager. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Bob, William, and Nathan King, and two sisters Helen and Pauline.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday April 2, 2024 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Greg King officiating. His burial will be in Webster Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared with his family via the guest book at stegallberheideorr.com.
