Obituary

Gladys L. Fannin 79, of Richmond passed away September 19, 2024, at Friends Fellowship Community with her husband by her side. She was born October 15, 1944, in Jackson County, Kentucky to Raymond and Beulah Collins Cruse and lived here all of her life.

She retired from Belden Wire and Cable where she worked as a secretary.

Gladys lived a life of service by volunteering her time to the Friends of Morrisson-Reeves Library, Wayne County Museum, Wayne County Indiana Genealogical Society, and many others; she and her husband were also reserve police officers with Richmond Police Department Community Action Team, and both were licensed EMT's.

Gladys was a member of the Whitewater Bowman Association; being an avid archer she competed in Local, State, and was a bronze medal winner in the National competitions.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years Eugene Fannin, one sister Libby Baker, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Betty Ghearing.

Services will be private. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
