Gerald O. Marcum age 62 of Richmond, Indiana entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday May 1st, 2024 after an illness at Reid Health.

Gerald was the son of Robert and Ruby Marcum.  He was one of twelve children.  Gerald did not let his intellectual and developmental challenges keep him from having a huge personality and friendship with everyone he met.  Gerald loved attending church, checking out all the cars at his family's business, and going on long car rides.  Gerald had a way of making his presence known with a big smile and lots of laughs.  Gerald never forgot a face and was always eager to greet someone he knew.

Gerald is survived by his father and mother, Robert and Ruby Marcum, seven brothers Tommy (Tonya) Marcum, Lonnie Marcum, Harold Marcum, Robert Marcum Jr., Tim (Julie) Marcum, Bill Marcum, Michael Marcum, four sisters Audrey (Bob) Bruns, Linda Jarrett, Patty (Troy) Mullin, Beverly (Rusty) Anderson, along with fifteen nieces and nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Gerald is preceded in death by his nephew Robert Allen Marcum.

"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.  If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me.  Yet what shall I choose? I do not know!  I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far!"  Philippians 1: 21-23
